Pioneer Day Camp 2019: Session One (for rising 3rd - 6th graders)

This event is no longer on sale.

Monday June 10

8:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

It’s 1819 and “Arkansaw” is a brand-new territory and part of the Wild, Wild West. Pioneer Day Campers get to jump into this era with activities that reflect frontier life. They’ll visit with the blacksmith working at the forge and learn how he had an important job, mending wagon wheels and making nails and other essential tools. Campers will help get dinner on at the Brownlee House kitchen. Through fun activities and crafts to take home, they’ll explore who lived in the Territory and how they came to be in Arkansas. Campers will even have the chance to let loose like early settlers did, with fun dances like the Virginia Reel. Daily snacks are provided to keep their energy up for adventure.

If you wish to become a member of Historic Arkansas Museum, you can receive a discount on Day Camp Registration.
