Pioneer Day Camp 2020 for ages 9-12

Monday June 15

9:00 AM  –  3:00 PM

This summer at the Historic Arkansas Museum, staff will relinquish their keys during Pioneer Day Camp…to the campers!  You read that right, we are handing over the keys and the kids are taking over the museum!  Campers will have the rare opportunity to experience the museum like never before; they’ll explore behind the scenes of our historic homes and participate in a variety of hands-on activities like making a cyanotype print, creating corn husk dolls, cooking in a Dutch oven, rolling out soap balls, learning a traditional folk dance, and building their own musical instrument, which they’ll learn how to play, too! Campers will wrap up the week by leading their families on a personal tour of the historic grounds, followed by a Gallery Art Reception created and curated by the kids. Sign up early as space is limited!  We hope to see you there!

If you wish to become a member of Historic Arkansas Museum, you can receive a discount on Day Camp Registration.
